Budget-Pro ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the Budget-Pro mobile application.

By using Budget-Pro, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Email address
• Authentication credentials (securely managed using Supabase Authentication)

1.2 Financial Data (User-Entered Only)

Budget-Pro allows users to manually input financial information, including:

• Income details
• Expense records
• Budget categories
• Account names

We do not access your bank accounts and we do not automatically collect financial data from third parties. All financial information stored within Budget-Pro is voluntarily entered by the user.

2. How We Use Your Information

• Provide and maintain the Budget-Pro application
• Authenticate users securely
• Store and display user-entered financial records
• Improve application functionality and user experience
• Respond to customer support requests

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

3. Data Storage and Security

Your information is securely stored using Supabase infrastructure, including encrypted HTTPS connections, secure authentication systems, and access-controlled database policies.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal or financial data with third parties except:

• When required by law
• To comply with legal obligations
• To protect our legal rights and security

Budget-Pro does not use personal data for advertising purposes.

5. Tracking & Analytics

Budget-Pro does not use third-party advertising SDKs and does not track users across apps or websites owned by other companies.

We do not use your personal or financial information for targeted advertising or marketing purposes.

6. Data Retention

We retain your information only for as long as your account remains active or as required to provide the service.

If you delete your account, your personal and financial information will be permanently removed from our systems within a reasonable time period, subject to any legal retention obligations.

7. Account Deletion & Data Removal

You may request deletion of your account and associated data by:

• Using the in-app “Delete Account” feature available in the Settings screen, or
• Contacting us at support@budget-pro.co.za

Upon verification, we will permanently delete your account and associated personal data.

Account deletion requests are typically processed within 7 business days unless a longer retention period is required by law.

8. Your Rights (POPIA & GDPR Alignment)

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal information
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your information
• Object to certain processing activities

Budget-Pro is not intended for individuals under the age required by applicable local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
